The cost of smartphones of the new iPhone line will remain at the level of last year’s Apple flagships. This is reported by the TrendForce agency.

 

Analysts of the research company believe that Apple is going to keep the cost of smartphones planned for the fall at the level of devices of the iPhone 12 series. The corporation intends to maintain its share in the premium devices market. The shortage and rise in the price of some components for the production of flagships will not affect pricing. It is reported that Apple compensates for the cost of manufacturing devices with revenue from sales of related services and accessories.

 

Experts noted that Apple has not yet decided on the name of the new series of smartphones. According to information declassified by insiders, the new line of flagships has a preliminary name of the iPhone 12 s. According to TrendForce, the most affordable device in the series will cost $ 699; the top flagship in the basic version will cost $ 1099.

 

The report also lists the main characteristics of smartphones. The phones of the new series will receive an OLED display, with the most expensive models supporting a refresh rate of 120 Hertz, an Apple A15 processor, and a reduced screen cutout. Analysts are confident that the smartphone line will not include a version with a storage capacity of one terabyte, despite reports from other insiders.
