TV channels are broadcasting commercial advertisements, recommending people, who are buying new TV sets, to give preference to TV-sets adapted to digital TV broadcasting.
This initiative, taken by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, was highly appraised by citizens. Results of public inquiries show that citizens may need special equipment to connect their TV sets to the digital television. Citizens can solve this problem by installing decoders in their TV sets.
The decoders are being currently produced by ‘Kür’ Electronic Equipment Plant. Director of ‘Kür’ Electronic Equipment Plant, Rizvan Osmanov said that the decoders produced by the plant meet modern standards and are not inferior to the decoders imported to Azerbaijan from foreign countries. This type of equipment was first displayed by the plant at ‘Bakutel’ exhibition, which took place as far back as 2010.
