During the 46th meeting of the Board or the Heads of the Communication Administrations of the Regional Communication Union (RCU), recently held in Ashkhabad, a decision was adopted to organize the next 47th meeting of the Board of the Heads of the Communication Administrations of RCU and the 18th joint session of the Coordinating Board of CIS countries on Informatization under RCU in Azerbaijan in the first half of November 2012. Besides that, the participants to the event discussed a wide spectrum of issues regarding the future cooperation between CIS countries in the sphere of information technologies.
Considering the fact that heads of SIC countries declared 2012 the ‘Year of Information and Communication Technologies’ participants of the Ashkhabad meeting made various proposals regarding such areas as exchange of experience, establishing new relations, development of the single approach for solving IT related issues.
They also recommended organizing local and international forums, exhibitions and other activities in order to display innovative technologies and provide information on the development of the ICT sector.
