Telephones will not be disconnected from network

Supreme State Authorities and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan have been receiving a lot of complaints from subscribers, who are dissatisfied with disconnecting their telephones from the telephone  network after termination of contracts concluded between subscribers and communication agencies. 

In this connection, the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov gave the following instructions to associations and organizations of the communication sector: “There is no need for signing new contracts, because in most cases subscribers continue to use their telephones after termination of contracts.   In this connection, I  instruct you to take appropriate measures against disconnecting  subscribers’ telephones from the telephone network. 

In order to protect subscribers’ rights and provide them with convenient stationary telephone services, contracts signed with subscribers must be of indefinite duration.  From now on, conclusion of contracts will subscribers will be carried out in electronic form. In this connection, the instruction issued  by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies on February 08, 2002 must be considered invalid.
