Necessary equipment and software support was installed in central post offices in all regions of Azerbaijan in order to insure availability of e-signatures in all parts of the country. According to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on “Electronic signature and electronic document”, the citizen should present his/her ID card and other relevant documents to the central post office in order to obtain an electronic signature.
Operators at the Registration Centre carefully check the presented documents, and as soon as the citizen has paid a service fee, he/she starts filling up an application for e-signature. The information in the application is then checked at the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ database, and processed.
Then the product package is prepared and sent to the Registration Centre to be presented to the citizen. Besides that, “http://www.e-imza.az/” web-site has been launched in order to help citizens to use e-signature. This web-site allows citizens to search for e-signature owners, view details of certificates, check certificates, download “E- signatory” program and get answers to all questions related to e-signature.
Aztelekom PU launches “e-Signature” trainings
Aztelekom Production Unit has launched “e-Signature” trainings for its employees. According to information told by the technical director of Aztelekom PU Zahir Valiyev to ICTnews, the trainings, which are being held on stage by stage basis, are aimed at enlightening employees of Aztelekom on the application of electronic signatures. “The employees taking part in these trainings will share their experience with those legal and physical persons who have already obtained e-signatures.Necessary equipment and software support was installed in central post offices in all regions of Azerbaijan in order to insure availability of e-signatures in all parts of the country.
