It was proposed to supplement the draft agreement presented to the French side with a special clause, allowing Azerbaijani specialists in the field of ICT and cosmic industry to train in the relevant educational institutions of France. During the meeting participation of the French Minister for Industry, Energy and Digital Economy Mr. Erik Besson in “Bakutel-2011” exhibition and conference, demonstration of French National ICT Pavilion at this expedition and other issues were discussed, and a decision was taken to attract companies to the pavilion. Mr. Ali Abbasov informed the French side about the recent developments in ICT sector and expressed hope that France would collaborate with Azerbaijan in manufacturing the second artificial satellite and outfitting the satellite with a rocket. The Minister told that in case the discussed issues were solved in time, it would be possible to start negotiations with the the opposite side in September.
Communications and information technologies minister Ali Abbasov met with ambassador of France
The Minister of Communications and information technologies Mr. Ali Abbasov met with an extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of France to Azerbaijan Mr. Gabriel Keller. At the meeting Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and IT Mr. Ali Abbasov said that during his visit to France he met with the French Minister for Industry, Energy and Digital Economy Mr. Erik Besson, and they discussed the ways of expanding relations between these two states, particularly in the field of information technologies.
