During the meeting the rector of Baku High Oil School Elmar Gasimov congratulated Ali Abbasov with the launch of Azerbaijan’s first telecommunication satellite into orbit and creation of the Information Technologies University. While speaking about various projects implemented in Azerbaijan, E. Gasimov noted that as a result of continuous development Azerbaijan has become a leader in the region.
“And now Azerbaijan is turning into a strong country which plays a significant role in the international arena.” In his turn, Ali Abbasov told the meeting that the future development of Azerbaijan depends on the younger generation of well-educated people. The minister congratulated participants of the meeting with the launch of the first telecommunication satellite, and said that Azerspase-1 satellite will play an important economic role in a vast region comprising more than 50 countries.
“Declaration by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev of 2013 as the year of information and communication technologies clearly demonstrates how much care and attention our state shows to this field. The Information Technologies University, which was created as part of measures implemented towards developing the education system, will intensively use Baku High Oil School’s experience in the education process.” Ali Abbasov wished students good luck and success in their studies. At the end of the meeting the rector of Baku High Oil School Elmar Gasimov presented Ali Abbasov with “Honorary Guest” diploma.
