While speaking about the future prospects of the ICT sphere, A.Abbasov noted that the rate of development of this sphere in Azerbaijan is growing every year.

When speaking about local and regional ICT projects, including the “Fiber to Home”, “Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway” (TASIM) and “EuraCA” (Eurasian Connectivity Alliance) projects aimed at providing all residential areas in the country with high-speed broadband internet services, the minister pointed out that in future SIVECO company may take part in the realization of such projects in Azerbaijan.

“The fact that 2013 was declared the year of ICT in the country might serve as a clear evidence of special care and attention that the state gives to this sphere. SIVECO gained wide experience through participation in large-scale projects and reforms implemented by the European Commission in Central and Eastern Europe. Therefore, the company wants to take part in the realization of e-Government projects in Azerbaijan.

SIVECO is now closely cooperating with the Ministries of Education, Health and Agriculture of Romania by assisting them in the implementation of special program software that will help to develop education, medicine and agriculture in Romania.

The company may also provide its assistance to Azerbaijan in the implementation of the electronic solutions, which were certified with ISO standards, in such areas as e-education, e-health, e-business, e-agriculture, e-customs, etc.” A. Abbasov, in his turn, said that Azerbaijan will benefit a lot from using Romanian experience in implementing various projects and reforms in the ICT sphere.
