Minister approved Activity Plan on introduction of digital television in Azerbaijan
The Minister of Communications and IT Ali Abbasov approved Activity Plan on introduction of digital television in Azerbaijan. According to the Activity Plan, “DVB-T” digital television, consisting of 1 package” will broadcast TV programs over at least 85% of the populated territory of the country. Let’s note that 1 package includes 10-12 programs. Relevant divisions and agencies were instructed to make a list of transmitters and other equipment, prepare and approve work schedule on acquisition and installation of the listed and other equipment, define installation grounds for the transmitters at TV-radio broadcasting stations. The Activity Plan also includes certain measures insuring control of quality of digital TV broadcasting. Besides, measures will be taken to provide the country with TV-sets receiving digital TV broadcasts. Let’s note that from 1 January 2012 the private TV – radio companies will stop broadcasting via analogue TV transmitters so that the people could enjoy opportunities created by digital TV.Views: 1006
