The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies (MCIT) has held the award presentation ceremony of the winners of "I am Azerbaijani" intellectual contest. The Winners of the first, second and third 10 days and also the winners of the month July have been awarded.

According to the conditions of the contest, winners of the first 10 days were awarded netbooks, and other participants included in the first 100th were awarded incentive prizes - AZN10 scratch cards from companies Nar Mobile and Bakcell.

Three persons who showed best results among the participants during July have been selected the winners of the month. Elnur Mammadzadeh, who took the  first place was awarded a mobile phone  iPhone and tablet  mini- iPad, Vusal Isgandarov, who became the second was awarded mobile phone  iPhone, Jeyhun Jariyev, who became the third was awarded a tablet iPad.

Addressing the event, head of Information Society Development Department of the ministry Isbandiyar Aliyev congratulated the winners and said the number of participants joined the contest for two months has reached 30,000 which is a striking example of great interest in the contest. It was noted that according to the statistics on the 1st of August this year, a total of 29,115 participants were registered in order to participate in the contest, 66% of them are men, 34% are women.The head of the department noted that the contest will continue until December 1.Winners of every 10 days will be awarded and superfinal will take place during the first week of December, 2013.

 "I am Azerbaijani" intellectual contest is held within the framework of the Year of ICT and dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. The goal of the contest is to introduce and promote the national cultural heritage of Azerbaijan.
