Instructions for use of “Transfer phone number to another person’s name” service released

By using “Transfer phone number to another person’s name” service, which is provided to the population by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies through “www.e-gov.az” portal, and a FIN code, the citizen can transfer his/her phone number to a different person’s name.

According to the Data Processing Centre, in order to use this service, the citizen should access “www.e-gov.az” portal and choose “Transfer phone number to another person’s name” service from the list of electronic services being rendered by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. Then, an electronic form will appear in which the citizen must indicate the toll-free phone number registered to his/her name.

After that, the citizen must choose one of the 3 reasons of transferring his/her phone number to a different name, which are given on “Reason” section of the form. Further, he/she must prepare electronic versions of all documents indicated in this section of the form by making a scanned copies of  the required documents. After submitting the required documents and making a payment for using this service, the phone number is automatically transferred from the citizen’s name to the other person’s name.
