At present works on step-by-step transition of subscriber numbers starting with the digit "4" into the new ATE starting with the digit "5" (593/598) with preservation of the following six figures of telephone number are being implemented.
The existing 598 telephone exchange will be united with new ATE 598. The numbering capacity of the operator in these ATEs will be increased by 30,000 units after transition into next-generation network.
Numbering capacity of all ATEs in Baku to be switched to NGN soon
"Baku Telephone Communications" Production Unit of the Communications and IT Ministry of Azerbaijan completes work on transition of numbering capacity of automated telephone exchanges 493/498/598 to NGN (Next Generation Network) technology, Production Unit told Trend on Thursday.At present works on step-by-step transition of subscriber numbers starting with the digit "4" into the new ATE starting with the digit "5" (593/598) with preservation of the following six figures of telephone number are being implemented.
