The workshop is realized within the UPU Strategic regional project.
The event is attended by the UPU experts and authorized representatives of the RCC member countries.
The execution of the action plan in the RCC member countries, analysis of the implemented measures, improvement of products, exchange of experience as well as further steps to be taken in the action plan are being discussed at the workshop which is dedicated to improve the quality of service, postal network reliability and efficiency.
UPU regional projects coordinator for the countries of Europe and CIS Yury Spiriyev and UPU chief expert Jan Boynanski made reports on the situation to improve the quality and improve the logistics network in Europe and CIS countries and the results achieved within the framework of the project.
Then presentations were held by designated operators in the postal sector, including Azerbaijan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and other countries on the main indicators reached within the framework of the project.
The workshop will wrap up its work on May 5.
On May 6, the joint 41/30 meeting of the RCC Commission on postal service and of the Council of the RCC Postal Operators will be held.
The agenda of the joint meeting of the RCC Commission on postal service and of the Council of the RCC Postal Operators, to be chaired by head of the Postal Sector of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov, includes a number of issues.
The state of execution of the Action Plan for the implementation of the 25th UPU Congress decisions, discussion of general proposals prepared for the consideration at the 26th UPU Congress in Istanbul, hearing of reports of RCC working groups, preparation for the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the RCC and other issues will be discussed at the meeting.
