The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) of the Republic of Azerbaijan has received a letter from the world famous Azerbaijani scientist, professor of the University of California, Berkeley, director of the Institute for Soft Computing Lotfi Zadeh. In the letter, professor Lotfi Zadeh, expressed deep gratitude to MCHT leadership for their support in the organisation of WCONSC 2016: World Conference on Soft Computing, which was held in California on 22-25 May 2016, bringing together scientists from different countries of the world.
Lotfi Zadeh noted that the communications and high technologies were an important part of the modern society, and that it was important for Azerbaijan to keep up with their development. "I believe that by assigning the highest priority to this area, you will turn Azerbaijan into a centre for education and research in the field of communications and high technologies in the region. I would like to thank you once again for your support in the organisation of the conference," the letter says.
The scientist, at the same time, expressed hope that, as in previous years, the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies will continue in future to provide its support in the organisation of the World Conference on Soft Computing (WSC).
Note that the World Conference on Soft Computing is dedicated to the results of research activities conducted by the creator of Fuzzy Logic Theory in the field of artificial intelligence Lotfi Zadeh. The conference has been held since 2011 with the financial support of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The conference covers areas like Fuzzy Math, Fuzzy Logic, Fuzzy Numbers, Fuzzy Systems, Neuro-Fuzzy Models, industrial applications of Fuzzy Theory, Fuzzy Learning, Law-Court Fuzzy Logic, Fuzzy Regression, Soft Computing Theory, and many more.
