The aim of the event, which took place at the E-Government Training and Education Centre of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, was to promote the rights of children, ensure the execution of these rights on the Internet and to enhance information security awareness of children.
Regional training and education centres located in Sumgayit, Ganja (2 centres), Mingachevir, Barda, Lankaran and Gazakh also joined the event via videoconference.
The event was attended by 8-10 grade school-students from Baku and different regions of country.
During the event, representatives of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies informed the participants about "The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child", "The Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the Rights of Children", "Children's Rights Month" regularly held in the country.
The acting director of the E-Government Training and Education Centre Rauf Jabbarov noted the importance of activities aimed at ensuring the protection of the rights and freedoms of children in the virtual world, and stressed that the centre has all the conditions for holding such activities on a regular basis.
In conclusion, the participants received answers to their questions.
