The next Republican Olympiad on Informatics among the students of higher education institutions will be jointly held by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Education and the Institute of Information Technologies of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
Traditionally, the Olympiad, which is held annually in two rounds, will be dedicated to May 17 - World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.
This will be the 12th Republican Olympiad on Informatics among the students of higher education institutions.
The event is sponsored by the companies NAR and BestComp Group.
52 teams from 24 higher education institutions registered for participation in the Olympiad.
The first round of the Olympiad will be held on April 29 at 10:00 in Baku Engineering University.
To participate in the Olympiad, team members should bring their ID cards and student identity cards with them.
Only one team from each institution which will show the best results will be admitted to the final round of the Olympiad.
The second (final) round of the Olympiad will take place in May 2017 at the Institute of Information Technologies of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The winners of the Olympiad will be awarded at the event dedicated to May 17 - World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.
