The employees of the administration, divisions, associations and enterprises of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT) also took part in the campaign held under the slogan “Donate blood, save a life!”
Within the blood donation campaign, which was organized jointly by Azerbaijan Thalassaemia Federation and the Central Blood Bank at the initiative of the Sabail district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, some 100 employees of the administration, divisions, associations and enterprises of MTCHT donated their blood to children suffering from thalassemia.
The employees of Azerpost LLC, AzIntelecom LLC, Baku Telephone Communications Production Association, Data Processing Centre, State Administration of Radio Frequencies, State Fund for Development of Information Technologies, Teleradio Production Association and Militarized Security Department participated in the campaign, which was held on a voluntary basis.
At the same time, another blood donation campaign was held at Azercosmos OJSC with the support of the Central Blood Bank of the Institute of Scientific Research and Transfusion.
Note that every two seconds someone in the world needs blood. Blood donation not only saves the lives of these people, but also has a positive impact on the health of the blood donor. Thus, blood donation reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes and has a positive effect on the immune system.
