A meeting on the preparations for the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC) is taking place in Geneva, Switzerland.
The main purpose of the meeting is to review the preparatory process, to prepare reports and to solve organizational issues.
During the preparations for the conference, presentation of proposals on the Radio Regulations, the international treaty governing the use of the radio-frequency spectrum and the geostationary-satellite and non-geostationary-satellite orbits will be considered.
Representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, as well as representatives of the State Administration of Radio Frequencies of the Ministry are representing Azerbaijan at the event.
During the preparatory meeting, the Azerbaijani delegation shared knowledge and experience with representatives of a number of international organizations.
The Azerbaijani delegation also took an active part in the meetings of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC) and the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT).
It should be noted that the World Radiocommunication Conference 2019 (WRC-19), to be organized by the International Telecommunication Union, will be held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt from 28 October to 22 November 2019.
