This information was provided to “İCTnews” by Mikail Abbasov, the technical director of “Teleradio” PA of the Communications and IT Ministry.
Mr. Abbasov said that currently, the same equipment is being installed at TV stations located in Jalalabad city and Ivanovka village and that by the end of the year digital TV will be broadcasted across the entire territory of the country.
At the present time, apart from Baku and Apsheron peninsula, digital TV is broadcasted in Ganja, Shirvan, Lerik, Agsu regions as well as in the regions surrounding them.
Each of the mentioned regions has its own TV station for digital broadcasting. Let’s note that the country switched from analog to digital broadcasting in 2009. However, in Baku test works in the direction started as far back as 2004.
Digital TV broadcasting started in southern part of Karabakh and Mil-Mugan region
“Teleradio” PA has installed and put into service new equipment at TV stations of Imishli city and Ahmedli village of Fizuli region in order to extend the coverage area of digital TV broadcasting to southern part of Karabakh and Mil-Mugan region.This information was provided to “İCTnews” by Mikail Abbasov, the technical director of “Teleradio” PA of the Communications and IT Ministry.
