25 specialists from ‘Azerkosmos’ OJSC, who will operate the fist telecommunication satellite, are going to visit the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, in order to rise their skills in operating telecommunication satellites and enlarge their experience in this field. In this connection, the Minister of the Communications and Information Technologies, Ali Abbasov, has held a meeting with technical specialists at ‘Azerkosmos’ OJSC.
In the course of the meeting some issues related to the activities implemented by ‘Azerkosmos’ OJSC, training of technical staff and development of human recourses potential of this organization were discussed.
It was noted at the meeting that in October-November of last year specialists from ‘Azerkosmos’ OJSC took part in special trainings organized by Malaysian ‘MEASAT’ company and American ‘Orbital Sciences’ corporation.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, while speaking with specialists, noted the special care and attention given by the President of Azerbaijan Republic, Ilham Aliyev to such spheres as creation of space industry, launching telecommunication satellites into the orbit, development of intellectual potential in Azerbaijan.
He also spoke about the future prospects in these spheres. During this conversation the minister asked the specialists about their social conditions and spoke about the prioritized directions of development of space industry in the next 5 years. At the end of the meeting Mr. Abbasov wished the personnel of ‘Azerkosmos’ OJSC a success in launching and operating the telecommunication satellite.
In their turn, the space specialists expressed their gratitude to the head of the state for the special care and attention that he showed to them. They also expressed confidence that they would justify his trust.
