New building for head post-office constructed in Baku

Azerpost SE has implemented a number of projects with the aim of modernization of postal communication through the introduction of new technologies. According to information provided by Azerpost, within the activities carried out in a short period of time, capital repair of 11 head post offices and construction of 7 post offices were accomplished.

Besides that, surveillance cameras and security and fire alarm systems were installed in 16 post offices, and contraction of buildings for 9 post offices was completed. At present, capital repair of 4 administrative buildings and 1 post office, and construction of buildings for 2 post offices are underway.

As part of the implementation of the “State Program on social and economic development of regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2009-2013” approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s Order of April 14, 2009, constriction of buildings for 9 post offices in different regions of the country started. Heads of executive powers of respective regions were requested to give an instruction to allocate plots of land for the construction of  buildings for 2 post offices. In line with the implementation of the “State Program on the social and economic development of Baku city and its settlements in 2011-2013” approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of May 04, 2011, contraction of a new building for head post-office No:02 and construction of new buildings for 2 post offices started.   At the same time, measures are now being taken to allocate a plot of land for construction of a new building  for 1 post office.
