Azerbaijani postal operator - JSC "Azerpoct" - introduced a mail tracking system throughout Azerbaijani territory, Azerpoct informed.
Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will also be connected to the system in the future, in connection with which Azerpoct specialists have repeatedly been there.
The mail tracking system envisages assigning a unique postal identifier to post mail. The identifier is a bar code consisting of 13 characters, four letters, and nine digits - for example: RR000123698AZ and is issued to the sender at the post office.
The identifier allows information to be included at each stage of the shipping process in one database and tracking the postal items’ passage via the Internet until it reaches the final destination in real-time. The system has already been integrated into the Azerpoct official website.
