The first meeting, which took place in Moscow on 26 January 2016, was attended by representatives of the member countries of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC), including Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation. Byelorussian, Kazakh and Moldavian experts joined the event via videoconference.
The agenda of the meeting included issues such as the formation of the composition of the Working Group, exchange of information at UPU on the results of the meeting of project team on reforms, discussion of general proposals prepared for consideration at the 26th Universal Postal Congress by Communications Administrations of RCC member countries, proposing the candidacy of RCC member countries to the UPU Administrative Council and Postal Operations Council etc.
Note that the UPU Congress will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from 20 September to 7 October 2016.
Azerbaijan represented at Working Group for preparation for Universal Postal Union Congress
