According to the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC), the objective of the workshop will be to discuss international experience gained as a result of joint cooperation between postal and customs services, electronic exchange of information on mail, electronic commerce, joint fight against illicit and dangerous goods and other issues.
The event will be attended by relevant representatives of the both organizations from the reginal countries.
Note that the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC) was set up on December 17, 1991 in Moscow by the Heads of Communications Administrations (CA) of independent states with the mission to develop communications networks and facilities; coordination in the field of scientific and technical policy, radiospectrum management, tariff policies for communication services and settlements, staff training; interaction with the international organizations in the field of communications and informatization, information interchange as well as to carry out cooperation between new independent states in the field of telecommunication and postal communication.
The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been a full member of the organization since December 17, 1991.
WCO and UPU to hold joint workshop in Baku
On April 4-7, 2016, a workshop for designated operators in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus will be held in Baku jointly by the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the Universal Postal Union (UPU).According to the Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC), the objective of the workshop will be to discuss international experience gained as a result of joint cooperation between postal and customs services, electronic exchange of information on mail, electronic commerce, joint fight against illicit and dangerous goods and other issues.
The event will be attended by relevant representatives of the both organizations from the reginal countries.
