At the first plenary session held on April 19, elections were held to the Council, one of the most important structures of the UPU - the Quality of Service Fund (QSF) for the next 3-year period. Candidates from five geographical regions of the world were nominated for the membership in the Council for the next three years. A representative from Azerbaijan was also among the candidates from the region of Eastern Europe and North Asia.
The candidate from Azerbaijan was re-elected to the Council of the Quality of Service Fund by a majority of votes. It should be noted that the Council includes representatives of 11 countries of the world and Azerbaijan is one of them.
Moreover, based on the results of evaluation by the UPU experts the project “Improvement of the Quality of the International Mail Network (Part 3)”, implemented by the Postal Administration of Azerbaijan within the framework of the QSF programme, was awarded the Universal Postal Union Quality of Service Fund Award for Best Management.
The award was presented to the representatives of Azerbaijan at the plenary session by UPU Director General Mr Bishar Hussein.
UPU spring session was successful for Azerbaijan
