The document was signed by the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Azerbaijan Choi Suk-Inn and the minister of communications and information technologies Ali Abbasov. Under the terms of the agreement training centers will be created in Baku and 15 regions of Azerbaijan, including Ganja, Nakhchivan, Sumgait, Mingachevir, Barda, Lankaran, Gazakh, Zagatala, Imishli, Gabala, Goychay, Shirvan, Shamakhi, Guba and Shaki regions.
Korean experts will install special education information systems and other necessary equipment in these training centers. Civil servants will be able to take part in training courses by either directly attending the training centers or using distance education services rendered by the training centers.
Within the framework of the project local specialists will attend training courses in Korea in order to gain experience in operating training centers and preparing necessary training materials. By participating in training courses provided by the training centers civil servants will be able to improve their practical skills and capabilities in the field of information and communication technologies.
The training centers will facilitate the implementation of “e-Government” in the state administration and other areas of the country’s social life. They will also promote the development of the information society, rise people’s awareness of ‘e-Government’, and increase the number of electronic services in the Republic.
Azerbaijan and Korea sign grant agreement on project for creation of training centers for ‘e-Government’ in Azerbaijan
