Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade met with Senior Vice President of the famous US company “Cisco Systems” Michael Ganser.
During the meeting, the sides discussed new prospects for cooperation and exchanged views on proposals for the effective use of the existing potential.
Ramin Guluzade informed the guest about the state policy implemented in the ICT sphere, and plans and priorities for the development of this sphere in Azerbaijan.
Michael Ganser, in turn, expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Cisco Systems. He shared with Ramin Guluzade his ideas on the projects implemented within the partnership, including the company’s project “Digitalization of Azerbaijan”.
Michael Ganser expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for entrusting Cisco Systems with the provision of the Tier III class datacenter built in Azerbaijan with necessary equipment, software and technical solutions.
Then, the sides discussed issues relating to the development and implementation of strategic IT projects in the country, strengthening of cybersecurity and the development of IT skills.
It should be noted that Cisco Systems has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2006.
